In the search for the “right” way to deal with topics such as exclusion and unpleasant feelings, cartoonish, exaggerated, colorful characters emerge who often find themselves in a surreal in-between world, seem to lose themselves and almost seem a little disillusioned. The interplay of selected colors and as well a touch of humor allows the individual works to merge with each other like a hidden object picture. It’s all about contrasts: about jumping back and forth between dealing with unpleasant emotions and „adult issues“ and longing for the feeling of childish naivety.
